We provide practice-based training for teachers and educators in the area of Philosophy with Children.
Our training covers roughly 3 areas:
  • Introduction: Starting with Questioning
  • Development: Progressing with Dialogue
  • Extension: The Role of Facilitator
  • Our work is applicable to all age groups and abilities.
Karin Murris' work in Philosophy with Children using picture-books is the basis of our work. Karin's work in turn is based on Matthew Lipman's method of Philosophy for Children using specially written texts.

We have developed our own work through experience, training and research and offer workshops that are challenging and thought-provoking as well as highly practical.

We will tailor the training to the needs of each group.

We have completed the SAPERE (Society for the Advancement of Philosophical Enquiry and Reflection in Education) Level 1, 2 & 3 training courses and are currently working on the assignments.

Maria has received a BPRS (Best Practice Research Scholarship) in the area of Philosophy with Children. Her report is featured on the QCA website.

We have experience of lectures, conferences and single sessions as well as series of workshops.

Our work is applicable to all age groups and abilities.

Fees are negotiable depending on nature of training.
