"It's about linking up. In Philosophy you start off with one question and try to make it in to another." - Child (7 yrs)
We are not particularly keen on stories written especially for thinking. There are millions of texts and pictures that can be used to stimulate questions and discussion that are readily available.

We want children to question and think about the things around them so we are not recommending specially written texts however useful these may be to others.

However, the following organisations and publications are really worth a look.

Organisations involved with Philosophy
DialogueWorks Karin Murris and Roger Sutcliffe site - training for schools and business in Philosophy with Children.
SAPERE The UK organisation offering training and publications and continuing research into this field.
Montclair State University The Institute for the Advancement of Philosophy for Children's website - where Matthew Lipman continues his work.
The Philosophers' Teaparty An interactive philosophy site with ongoing dialogues from kids around the world (Tasmanian).
PhilosophySlam A teachers' resource site with lots of useful links.
