I graduated with a B.Ed (Hons) from Homerton College, Cambridge in 1997. I am a full time Advanced Skills Teacher at Chapel Break First School, Norwich. My specialist areas are in Philosophy, role play and literacy in the Foundation Stage.

I have always based my teaching around the use of quality picture books to develop thematic learning in my Reception class and Karin Murris' work provided further inspiration. I have since attended the levels 1, 2 and 3 SAPERE training under the tutorage of Karin Murris, Roger Sutcliffe and Joanna Haynes.

I am currently writing a book with Steve Bowkett offering practical examples and ideas for using philosophy in the Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1. The book is based on my beliefs that PWC creates endless opportunities to develop higher order thinking skills across the curriculum and is due to be published by Network Educational Press next Year.
